Hello Learn Inglish Team,
I did Task 4 twice, and I don't know what the correct answer for this exercise event though I did it again vice versa.
I answered 4 questions correctly. But you have 2 options "meeting a friend". As i understand, I should put in to block 3 and 5. Is that correct answer?
What is the correct answer in this situation?
Thank you

Huong

Hello Huong Le,

Yes, that's right.

Sorry for the confusion! I've changed the exercise so that it works now.

Thanks very much for letting us know about this problem.

Best wishes,
Kirk

Dear Team,
I want to enroll in the ''Self-Study online'' course. Following the instructions on this page, I have sent two emails to the address indicated on the page and have received the following reply:
''Your message was not delivered to support.englishonline@britishcouncil.com because the address could not be found or is unable to receive mail.''
Not knowing what else to do, I am asking for your help so that I can get in touch with the appropriate team.
I enclose the e-mail I sent:

-Dear Teachers,
I'd like to ask you for some specific information about the ''Self-Study online'' course. I'd been subscribed one year ago but I had to interrupt the lessons because I needed specific communication and support from a teacher to solve my questions and get proper feedback during them, which was not available at that time. I would like to be able to ask questions and receive feedback, as it is in the free courses you offer, where there are excellent teachers who answer such questions and queries. (There were also several problems with communicating with you via e-mail, due to misunderstanding.)
Teacher Peter informed me that this option is now available to us by paying an additional fee and choosing a teacher we like, so I would like more specific information:
-Have any technical problems of your own competence, concerning connection and access to the website, which existed at the time, been solved?
-How is all this process done?
-Can I choose a tutor for the whole course I am taking? (For example, I would prefer Rob, who I know from the free courses and who suits me).
-Through which means and way will the communication with the tutor be done?
Thank you in advance,
Nikos

Dear Peter,
is there any typo or confusion in your answer to anasge?
As you explained, shouldn't be the second option correct instead of the first, or am I missing something?
Respectfully,
Nikos

Hi nikoslado,

Right - it should read "The second option is correct." Thanks!

Hello, why are not there the text of the clip?

Hello Elnaz1367,

Each Word on the Street episode is made up of five parts. Three of these are intended for listening practice and we provide transcripts for these. The other two parts, which are the ones with 'Language Focus' in their titles, are designed to be mini-lessons with Rob. These are explanations and not listening texts so we do not include transcripts. The important thing with these sections is to understand the explanations and examples rather than to follow the text for listening comprehension.

I have a question Sir actually I am a government employee in India. My mother has recently gone under hip replacement surgery and I have borne all the expenses of surgery of my mother. In India a government employee is entitled to medical reimbursement if any one of his family member undergoes medical treatment including surgery etc but this medical reimbursement is governed by certain rules. As per these rules a family has been defined as: Clause (e) "Family" means wife or husband, children including adopted children, step children and parents living with the government servant and wholly dependent upon him; [Explanation:- Parents in the definition of family shall be treated as dependent on government servant provided own income of either parent does not exceed rupees 2500 per month.] Later the above rule was ammended as: The explanation below clause (e) shall be substituted by the following:- "Parents in the definition of family will include only such parents whose monthly income does not exceed rupees 5000 per month." From the above cited references what conclusion can be drawn. Is it monthly income only one parent or of both the parents. Please reply
