Subject: Request for new price list for V1698 face creams
Dear Yuki,
We are presenting to some new clients next Monday 10 December and they are interested in our V1698 face creams.
I understand from Kate that the prices have changed recently. She mentioned that you have the new price list. Do you think you could email it to me?
I would be grateful if we could have it by close of business on Thursday 6 December. That would give us time to prepare for our presentation.
Thanks very much for your help.
Best regards,
Gabriela
Tips
- Some people prefer you to use their first names, and others prefer you to use their title (e.g. Ms/Mr) + their surnames. Find out what is normal in your company when writing emails.
- Explain the reason for the request.
- Give a deadline when possible.
- Give dates clearly.
- Make your request polite by starting it with Do you think you could … ? or I would be grateful if you/we/I could … .
- If you don't know the person you are writing to well, you can finish by writing Best regards just before you sign your name.
Dear Mr. Mark,
I think you are well.
we have presented to some new clients our new products recently. as I have got a new information from Lucy that the price of products' list have changed. So, I would be grateful if you could sent to me the new prices.
They will come back on 8 October. For that, do you think you could sent the prices before that day.
thanks for your help.
Best,
Do you write a lot of emails to your colleagues?
Email is a best practice to send to colleagues because it is a formal method to send all details. Another benefit of email is to improve your English writing skills because the messengers and other apps are informal and we write only short messages although email is a very systematic way to explain all detail formally.
Yes I do, unfortunatelly not in English, I wish I could use more English language in my job when
writing emails or when I have to attend to some meetings tough, some times I have to write emails to
providers in English, but not as frecuently as I want.
Thanks for the lesson.
Great site!
No. I usually send messages or calls to colleagues if they need them. Because messages are fast and convenient, I just send an email to clients for a budget report or something important that they want to know.
I don't write emails to my colleagues,because I don't work now.
In my previous job, we often sent this kind of emails. There were a lot of requests for everything: from addressing issues to design tasks, from making photo prints to checking the availability of souvenirs.
Very often I write emails to my colleagues. It's not a rare case to put some attachments. Sometimes I want them to do something for me but more often it is my reply to their request.
Do you write a lot of emails to your colleagues?
No, It's not common in our company. We usually send messages or call each other if it needs. because messengers are so faster and more accessible.
We just use email for corresponding with other companies in order to cooperate with them in some respect.
To be honest, I usually type by messenger to my colleagues. Otherwise, I often used email for school and business.
