I think I'm a person who am different from everyone. I like the smelt of rooms in hospital, especially the operation room:))) But I've gone to it just 2 times, because of once stomachache and once my foot felt hurt. I'm not afraid of operation, a doctor had commented me that I was so brave and naughty, however I'm a girl. And some other times are because of a cough or illness, not so terrible. I've just gone to dentist for taking my teeth, now I'm older and don't need to go anymore. When I was about 4 years old, that was the first time I had been on the ambulance, that the stomachache once. I've used bandage and sometimes have to use medicine or tablets but I haven't used plaster yet. If I have injuries, I'll let it recover. And I've got flu injection, just for a protective health.

Hello, dear teachers and team!

Could you please help me with this:

If I know that a person's leg hurt, and I see them after while and want to ask "How is your leg?", would it sound natural? Or are other options preferable?

Thank you very much indeed for all your hard work and immense help and I'm very grateful for your answer to this post beforehand!!!

Hi howtosay_,

Yes, that's perfectly natural. You could also say: How is your injury? (if it's an injury) or How is your leg problem?

Hello, I'm a dentist. I want to know if these sentences are correct.
- You've got a caries
- Please sit down
- You need a restoration in the tooth with caries.
- you need a curettage because you have periodontitis.

Thank you a lot!

Hello densie.r,

Usually we say 'cavity' rather than 'caries' - this is easier for the patient to understand. Similarly, dentists usually say a filling rather than 'a restoration'.

I would suggest the following:

- You've got a cavity.

- Please sit down.

- You need a filling in the tooth with the cavity.

- You need a curettage because you have periodontitis.

Luckily I don't go to the doctor often. When I'm sick I take medicines and I rest a bit.

Hello. Is the following sentence correct?
- The patient must be attended constantly.
Thank you.

Hello Ahmed Imam,

'Attend something' means to participate in it. For example, you can attend a conference or attend a meeting.

'Attend to something' means to pay attention to it and deal with it in some way. For example, you can attend to a problem or attend to a person's needs. It seems to me that in your context this is the meaning you need so '...should be attended to' would be the correct phrasing.

Yes, of course, i have been to the doctor's many times but fortunately i ve ever been kept once during a examination which has taken hardly an hour. That was only the once I have been slept because they had to put in a long camera in my stomach. Side of that episode, i ve never been that sick. I usually went to the dentist's when i was a kid and i must remove my milk teeth after that my all dentition has been healthy. May we stay healthy longer and longer.
