Hello teachers !! I want to know the differences of " eat in " " eat out " " take away " ? And " home cook " is the meal we cook at home and eat at home ?
Dear teachers! Good evening! Please explain to me the main difference between Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous. If I understood it correctly the main difference is next: Present Perfect - the action isn't finished by the time of speaking or it's some news. Present Perfect Continuous - we are talking about some activity which isn't finished by the time of speaking, for example: I have been painting the ceiling the whole morning (now it's a morning).
Hello Evgeny,
The present perfect continuous has several uses and one of those is to highlight the activity rather than the result:
> I've painted the ceiling (it's done - result)
>I've been painting the ceiling (it may not be done - activity)

In other contexts the distinction is a little different. You can find a summary with examples on this page:
