Hello everybody. I am so glad to have a chance study in "britishcouncil". There are a lot of documentary films. Today I watched "Red balloon" I would advise to see that film.

I think governments should take lots of measures if we really want to save our planet, because all the effort some people are doing means nothing when there are lots of individuals that pollute the environment whithout any regrets.

In relation to ( spoiler alert ) , Does it mean -revealing a hidden secret? Does it collocation or just expression ?

Hello alsayed,

Normally, a spoiler is something which can ruin somebody's enjoyment of a film or a book. For example, if you were reading a book and somebody tells you how the story ends then you would probably be annoyed because not knowing the end is part of the enjoyment. When somebody is about to give information like this they often say 'spoiler alert' to warn others to stop reading or listening if they don't want to know that kind of information. It's very common in film reviews, for example.

Sometimes people say 'spoiler alert' in other situations. It's a humorous way to tell someone that you're going to tell them how something ends. For example, I might say this:

I had a car accident a few years ago. Spoiler alert: I didn't die!

It's a joke, because the person I'm speaking to knows I didn't die.
