Yes, I recently had some opportunities to participate in online discussion forums. I have never participated in an online discussion forum until now, but this year I am using an online discussion forum in my lessons because it became an online lesson due to the spread of the coronavirus. I think joining Discussion forums is very very interesting. Beside it's a great opportunity you can practice your writing and speak up what you want to say. It's also a place you can listen to varying opinions from everyone, not just in your culture but all the places in the world. I'm a Reddit fan, and I find there are so many fascinating things. Not just for entertainment but also seeing other country's problems such as #blacklivesmatter, or women harassment problem in Egypt, etc. Our generation is becoming more and more globalization. I think we should somewhat understand other countries' cultures and always keep an open mind.

Discussion Fourms could be beneficial for the person who has a job require him to convince other people, for instance sales representatives it could be a nice training for him nevertheless personally I prefer to conduct decisions face to face it would give me the opportunity to read other people's expressions and body language. Sometimes body language tells you how much people believe in what are they saying.
