Man: How did it go?

Woman: Umm, I think it went quite well. I did a lot of research and prepared a lot. I was in there for ... I don't know ... half an hour?

Man: And? What did they say?

Woman: Nothing much. At the end I asked them, 'What happens now?', and the woman said, 'We'll call you back with news in three or four days.'

Man: Really?

Woman: Yeah, I think I've got the job. There weren't a lot of other people there. I was the only interview that day, you know?

Man: Well, good luck with it.

B

Man: Anyway, you were saying ...

Woman: Oh, yeah, um ... let's see. Yes, so I was in the museum and there were, I don't know, a hundred people waiting to get into the room. Finally, I got in, and I tried to see the Mona Lisa but I couldn't look at it.

Man: Why not?

Woman: Because the room was filled with people taking photographs of it!

Man: Oh, right.

Woman: Yes! And selfies.

Man: Wait a minute. You can take photos while you're in there?

Woman: Yes, but you can't use flash. I don't know ... Why do we take photos of everything we see when we travel?

Man: I know. And we never look at the photos after.

Woman: Exactly! I'm tired of always taking photos. I don't feel I'm enjoying things.

C

Man: Who took this?

Woman: I can't remember. Hmmm ...

Man: What am I doing?

Woman: You're sitting on the sofa, watching TV and eating chocolates. Nothing changes!

Man: Ha! Very funny. You look very young, though.

Woman: I know. Look at my hair – it was so long!

Man: Mine too, look at me! Hey … I think I know who took this photo.

Woman: Umm … who? Was it Dad?

Man: No, it wasn’t Dad or Mum. Do you remember Barry?

Woman: No.

Man: Yes, YES! You do remember. Barry, your boyfriend at high school. You were seventeen and he was sixteen and he was so very polite: 'Hello, I'm Barry. It's very nice to meet you ...'

Woman: Stop it! He was nice.

Man: Yeah, well, he took the photo.

D

Woman: Let's see. OK. I'm glad we could talk about this. It's not easy to say.

Man: What?

Woman: Well, you're not in our group – for the class project.

Man: What do you mean? You know I'm always in a group with you.

Woman: I know. It's just that this time … this time we made the group differently and because you were late ...

Man: I see. You don't want me in the group?

Woman: No, no. It isn't that. It's that we've already made the group, see? There's four of us already.

Man: So? We can't be a group of five?

Woman: Well, the teacher said four people per group.

Man: Oh.

Woman: It's not about you or your work or anything like that. It's ... errrr ... well, we already have the group.

Man: So I have to find another group.

Woman: I'm sorry.

Yes, I have the similar conservation about the old photo and to explain misunderstanding me related with project. My friend thinks that I didn't want her to my group. It was not true because my group have already fulled with ten people. But she misunderstand to me. I explained her "don't think like that" but she didn't understand.

Yes.I do have a similar conversation.I've been looking for a job and I've had two interviews, but I haven't found a suitable job yet.I don't like holiday travel, because it's too crowded, if you stand on the high place, you can see many heads covering the scenic spot. Sometimes we open our old photo albums and review our wonderful moments.

I had such conversations as ones in the third topic. Since I left to study we rarely meet with my sister. When I return home we usually recollect the days of our childhood. Sometimes we open the old album. We are so suprised to see us so little. But these moments do us closer to each other.

I had a similar conversation as the first one. I'm a job seeker for the last six months, so I had many interviews in different companies. After each interview, I met my friends and explained to them how the interview went, what question did they ask me, and if there is any hope to receive that job. Also, I explained to them about those experiences and I compared them, sometimes I praised the interview panel about the professional attitude, and sometimes I complained about their silly question. Also, I had a similar conversation with my parents about taking pictures during the holidays, they are complaining and being angry when I and my sibling are spending the best part of holidays in our phones, by taking the picture and chatting and as result, we are losing the best moments in holidays. Pictures from your childhood and special occasions can bring wonderful and unforgettable memories. Sometimes a picture can be sent you back on time an make you feel the moments twice. I never had a problem being part of the student's group, because usually, I organized them so I have selected people to be in my group. In this conversation I learned some phrases like; I'm glad we could speak about it, it's not easy filled with people. Thank you.

I have had a conversation similar to conversation C when my friend and I look at the old photo album together. In the album, there is a picture taken when I was in grade 1. At that time, I was fatter and my hair is longer than now. I learned some new phrases in these conversations such as: - I think it went quite well. - I did a lot of research and prepared a lot. - Nothing much. - We'll call you back with news in three or four days. - Let's see... - Wait a minute. - I know. - Exactly! - I don't feel I'm enjoying things. - I'm glad we could talk about this.

Dear team. From the audio above. Man: Yes, YES! You do remember. Barry, your boyfriend at high school. What is the different from 'you do remember' and 'you are remember' ??? Thank you very much for your answer.

Hello fahri,

'You are remember' is not grammatically correct. Normally we just say 'you remember', but when we want to emphasise the action, we can use 'do' with the verb. Here when the man says 'you do remember', it shows that he thought that maybe the woman had forgotten about her boyfriend.

All the best,
Kirk
