What is the event about?
In this live lesson there will be an introduction to the topic of scary stories. Then, you can listen to a short grammar explanation and practise using the grammar yourself, as we decide what happens next in our very own scary story!
This live event is a free lesson for learning grammar: Halloween – scary stories and modal verbs.
Hello, I live in Ukraine. In my country, my city Kharkiv Halloween is a really popular holiday. The Young people wear scary clothes, suits, masks painting their faces. It`s funny, not ordinary, and it's like them, why not?
A lot of shops sell things for Halloween.
When my children were small we made festive pumpkin lamps and put candles inside, it looked like magic.
HI THERE, HERE IN ARGENTINA, VERY YOUNG KIDS, STARTED TO CELEBRATE IT, SINCE CUP OF YEARS AGO, NO MORE THAN 7 YEARS.
THERE ARE STILL SOME SHOP'S OWNERS WHO REFUSES TO GIVE THEM SWEETS AS IT S AN AMERICAN CELEBRATION WICH DOESN T REPRESENT US. HOWEVER, EVEN THOUGH, I DON T PUSH MY KIDS TO DO IT, THEY ENJOY A LOT GETTING ON THEIR COSTUMES AND HAVING FUN LIKE THAT.
Hi Rodriguez Yanina,
Thank you for posting your interesting comment! It seems like the kids will enjoy that a lot!
But if I may ask, please don't write all in capital letters, as it's a bit hard to read. Thanks.

Personally speaking, this kind of event is very popular in North America. As an Asian citizen I heard about Halloween when I was studying at school. Anyway, many youngsters in my country introduced well with Halloween due to mass media for the last decade.
