Hi Panny,
Thank you so much for your feedback. I hope you'll come back next time for a new Learning hub topic.

In my opinion all given examples do not suit me. I'm Dutch. I learned English by becoming friends with English people. But now I seldom see them and most of them died. Now I only speak English when English speaking visitors come to the place where I'm a guide. As I detected that my English became more and more 'rusty', I'm searching for way to maintain my English by reading, listening, watching TV and visiting British Council. But my Dutch accent remains terrible.
Hi JFJF,
Thanks for your feedback. It can be difficult to find opportunities to practise speaking, but it sounds as if you are finding other ways to keep up your English.
By the way, I've lived in France for over 20 years but I still have an English accent when speaking French. Little by little I've learned to embrace it. I think that as long as it doesn't hinder understanding, different accents can be really interesting and unique!
I hope to see you again for another Learning hub topic.
Best wishes,
Jo (LearnEnglish team)

It's an amazing experience where you can learn and start practicing your English skills, it helps you to be more confident, however, you have to go ahead and try, the first step is starting then is to be a discipline and constant person, if you want to be better, you have to work for it.
