Episode 15 - Is there a campsite?

Sammy is excited about taking Julia to his favourite campsite. There's just one problem ...

Transcript

Sammy: It's a great campsite. I go there a lot.
Julia: What's so good about it?
Sammy: There are great facilities. There are lots of sports facilities.
Julia: Is there a swimming pool?
Sammy: Yeah, there's a really big pool. And four tennis courts!
Julia: And what other facilities are there?
Sammy: There's an indoor sports hall for badminton and other indoor sports. And there's a gym!
Julia: Are there any shops in this village?
Sammy: Shops? No, it's quite a small village. But there is a supermarket in the campsite. They've got everything.
Julia: Hmm. It sounds good, but ...
Sammy: And you can hire bikes. There are lots of bike paths around the village.
Julia: That sounds good, but ...
Sammy: And there's a bar with live music every night. It's a great place! And in the summer there are barbecues every evening outside the bar.
Julia: But ...
Sammy: And, I think there's a jacuzzi. Plus, a sauna.
Julia: The thing is ...
Sammy: Oh, and there's a small lake, right in the middle of the campsite!
Julia: That's nice, but ...
Sammy: And the TV room. And every night they put on DVDs ...
Julia: Listen to me!
Sammy: What?
Julia: It sounds like a great place, but ...
Sammy: But what?
Julia: Well ... I don't like camping. I hate tents! I prefer hotels.
Sammy: Oh, don't worry. There are lots of small wooden huts with kitchens, small bedrooms, a TV ... it's just like a hotel!
Julia: Well ... maybe.

Julia: We're lost, aren't we?
Sammy: I'm sure the campsite's round here somewhere.
Julia: This is not a small village. It's a big town.
Sammy: This is all new. It wasn't here before.
Julia: Excuse me. Parlez-vous anglais?
Woman: Yes, I speak a little English.
Julia: Oh, good. Is there a campsite around here?
Woman: Campsite? No, there isn't a campsite here now. Erm, the campsite closed ten years ago. They built this town on it.
Julia: When was the last time you came to this campsite?
Sammy: Erm ... when I was at school. It was a school trip. Yes, about ten years ago, I think.
Julia: Come on! Let's find a hotel.

When I was younger I enjoy camping but now when I grown-up I prefer stay in the hotel or rent a room or hut.

I've never camped outside. But I like to stay as if nature's embrace; in the glow of sunrise and looking up at the galaxy at night in the mountains. Yeah━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!

I have watched all 15 videos and worked on all tasks. I really want to know their next stories. Is it possible if they have future together? The first story in the first video is already incredible but absolutely nice. They are absolutely friendly people and very welcome to the strangers they are. They are willing to know and accept each other. They can communicate well and overcome conflicts. The woman seems strong and independent. The man seems soft and gentle. Seems like they are a good couple.

Hello Santika

Thanks very much for your comment. I'm afraid there is no immediate plan to continue with Starting Out, mostly because we have so many other things we are working on right now. But it's always useful to have our users' feedback and we do consider it when taking decisions, so thanks again for letting us know that you enjoyed the series.

All the best

why choose to spend your holidays in a campsite?   I am of the opinion of Julia, I prefer the hotels, but I will still try the campsite at least once

Yes I like, but despite the camp-sites are always the cheapest options, I prefer to stay in hotels if I've got enough money to afford one.
