We asked some British Council students to tell us what countries they find interesting and which place they would most like to visit. This is what they said.
One thing on my bucket list is to visit Greece. My father-in-law worked there for three years and he had a lot of photos of various places. He used to tell us a story about an island there called Paros and a famous savoury Greek dish called 'Shrimp saganaki'. Moreover, he talked about the scenery, the streets, the tourist spots, the hospitality of the people, their famous 'zorba' dance and what a wonderful time he spent there.

I have my eye on a number of European and East Asian countries, but the one nation I would like to visit the most next is Japan. As a train fan, I especially adore the various shapes and sizes of the trains running across Japan, including the famous Shinkansen, the bullet trains. Their cuisine is also special to me. I've tried it a few times in my country, but I believe those dishes would be much better when tried in Japan itself.

I'm so interested in visiting some countries in Asia: China, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam. I especially want to visit China. I'm attracted by a country with a history of over 5,000 years. I really want to experience the atmosphere of the towns and places where many dynasties existed. I'd love to have the chance to see the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Army, to discover the urban dimensions of Shanghai and Beijing, and the flavours of Chinese food. I hope one day to manage to go to this country.

I have a serious case of wanderlust. I'm always thinking about travelling to Turkey. It has a lot of magnificent, picturesque and stunning landscapes. As well as being fascinated by awe-inspiring scenery, I love discovering architectural marvels and heritage sites – maybe because my major study was archaeology. Regarding accommodation, I'd prefer to stay in an all-inclusive resort, if money wasn't an issue.

I would like to go to France. I have a friend who's from Paris. He recommended several places to visit in Paris, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum and the Sainte-Chapelle. Moreover, Paris also has various dishes that make me curious to come to this country. However, I have to save a lot of money to go there!

First of all I want to see Morocco and Algeria. My mum lived in Algeria when she was a child. So I want to visit that country! Morocco appeals to me! This is about muslim culture, islam tradition ect.
Next on my wish list is Senegal. Why Senegal? Because I had classmates from there on the course. I think this country is underrated. And I should visit it to make my own opinion.
If we say about another mainland - in hope to visit Portuguese, Italy and the UK. Portuguese for me because there is ocean and a lot of historical place to visit. The same with Italy and Great Britain. In Italy I would like to degustation local dishes! The UK - this is a wonderful place for me.

Europe will always be my once-in-a-lifetime place to go, like, Italy, England, Spain, Netherlands. But my most wanted to go is Italy and Spain. I love how summer looks like in Italy, i feel like the atmosphere is soooo warm in summer, imagining spending summer in Siena just makes me sooo happy, and cant forget the Colosseum, the roman forum in Rome and so on, i would love to see them and learn new things about them since i interested in history. Move to the next country is Spain, i would love to visit Barcelona the heart of the country. The Sagrada Familia is one of my favorite place i'd love to visit and explore.
I'm from Brazil and I'd love visit England, Italy ou France some day. But is too expensive to go out of my country. But I believe I'll visit a lot of countries around the world in a closer future.
I have always been curious about all countries that are still uncontaminated and preserve their original shape.
I'd really like to go to Brazil. The colours. the music, the kindness of local people drive me crazy. In my dreams O wake up in Rio de Janeiro, I have breakfast in some kiosk on the beach, I swim in the sea all morning long, and during the afternoon I visit places like Cristo Redentor or favelas (I know they are so dangerous, but also fascinating). But above all, nature fascinates me. All those animals in Amazon forest, in the river and also in the ocean.
Brazil is my once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I need a lot of money to go there from Italy.
Hello Alice. How are you today? I hope you'd be fine.
My name is Victoria and I'm from Brazil. I live exactly in Rio de Janeiro, so I can tell you how is the experience of living here. Well, people here are very lovely, because We love talk with people (no matter if we don't know about you) and we love give huges. The summer here sometimes can be mortal. We know how to survive Summer in Rio, but for people who live out from Brazil It can be sooo hard. Here, next to the beach we have the most famous favela in RIO, This favela is a very famous landmark and we called it by ROCINHA. If you'd come to Rio in the future, you should visit this place. There is safe to go.
I'd like to visit the Italy, Saying more specifically I want to visit Veneza.
Indeed I'm having a strong wanderlust fever. Many places swap in my bucket list, yet I wish to visit Switzerland. Though Im not aware of much details about the country, I've heard about the chill climate that pulls me hard to visit the country. In addition the country gives vast opportunities of high paying jobs, which is another major reason for the love towards the country. I've also seen images of Switzerland which made me sensed as if it is a fairy land. One day I'll surely visit that beautiful country.
