Actually, I'm Buddhism but one of my friends is a Christian. My childhood Thanksgiving Day, the day was an unforgettable day in my life because on these days I participated with my friend's family together. We sang together and enjoyed the food together. We went to some places such as public parks and greeted my friend's relative as well.

I'm learning that lots of other people celebrate Thanksgiving outside of the US, like you and Rubí from Mexico. I was especially interested to hear that it was a Christian family you celebrated with. In the US, people of many religions, and lots of people who aren't religious, all celebrate Thanksgiving. When I lived there, I went to one celebration where many of the people were Buddhists. One of them brought a 'tofurkey' -- a vegetarian dish with tofu to replace the turkey.

Our big holiday celebration is on Christmas, it takes place at my grandmother’s house, we are a very large family so there´s plenty of food (and booze). My favorite moment is when we exchange gifts. I usually get there by a five-hours-trip from Puerto Vallarta to Guadalajara.

We get together in Thanksgving and Christmas, this celebrations are usually at my parent's house and they llive in The US. when I lived in Mexico City I had to fly every year, but now I live closer and I just drive. Our food is a mix of mexican and american dishes, in addition to roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, we like drinking mexican 'ponche' (fruit punch) and also we like eatting pozole. I really enjoy spending time with my love ones, especially in this celebrations.

In Serbia,winter is time when most people in our country celebrate patron saint.We are ortodox and in our religion there are three dates by year we celebrate: Christmas,Easter and patron saint.Each ortodox family have patron saint and it is traditional.In those days we meet each other and together celebrate,share food etc.
I usually have a meeting with my loved ones specially in dates like christmas and new year celebrations , my family lives far from my city , we have to plan this plans many months before and buy fly tickets to travel.
Whn we are getting together we enjoy talking about our lifes and remember the same childhood anecdotes , that repeat and repeat every year ! hahaha
I like cook dinner for my family , new reciples and old ones too.
Birthdays and holidays;
We usually go by car, there are few relatives who live far away and it's not that far;
Mostly it's barbecue;
We always do karaoke, it's so much fun! And also, of course, the gossip haha

It was my cousin wedding. I go there by bus we eat rice and meat
It is (Kabsa ).it is a traditional meal here
We get thogether for Christmas and birthdays. I like the free food and drinks! My mother usally make too much food for the persons at the dinner and we take extra food to our home after.
