Welcome everyone. I'm Canadian but living in Scotland. The last time I studied anything was forty years ago … I'm a bit nervous! Good luck, everyone!

Hello. I'm so happy to be doing this course. I've finished two other online courses this year so I'm looking forward to my third. I'm from Vietnam by the way. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hi! Looks like I'm the first one here so … hi to everyone who joins the course and nice to meet you! Good luck with the course and see you in the next lesson!

Tips

1. Keep your introduction short and clear.

2. Say hello and give a little bit of information about yourself. Don’t say anything too private or personal.

3. You can say what you hope to get or learn.

4. Wish people good luck.

5. You don’t have to write full sentences.

6. You might use more exclamation marks (!) than in formal writing because it looks friendly.

so studying online is a saving time, you can have plenty of time to learn more than one course or to have free time for yourself, and also you can choose the subject you want to learn

Hi! My name is Barbara. I'm from Peru. With this course, I want to improve my writing. Hope you find it usefull too, good luck to everyone!

Hi Barb.,

Welcome to LearnEnglish, that's great to hear. I just wanted to point out two other things on our website that you might find useful.

The first is our Learning hub, where you can write in (or sometimes record yourself speaking) about different topics. It's not formal writing, but you might find it interesting.

The second are our online courses. Some of them include some writing and might be an option to consider as well.

In the comments on our pages you can also ask specific questions about specific sentences you write, and we're always glad to get texts from our users as well.

All the best,
Kirk

Online study is a flexible facility, I like it very much to gain English knowledge from home.

Hello, my name is Sebastian. I'm from Mar del Plata, Argentina and I'm a radio announcer. I hope to learn english pronunciation with this online course. I think studying online is better because you can do it when you need. Good luck to everyone!

Hello Sebastian,

That's fantastic! If you want to focus on pronunciation, I'd particularly recommend our Listening and Speaking skills sections, our Audio and Video series and of course our Online courses. But of course we're happy to see you on any page.

Hope to hear you one day!

All the best,
Kirk

What do you like about studying online?
I don't like to study online. I think is necessary to be in physical contact with other people, after the pandemic, people are not very social.
