Tips
- Your online profile needs to be concise, engaging and convincing.
- State a clear title/role under your name.
- Your summary should be in short paragraphs.
- Think about who you want to read your profile and write in an appropriate style for them.
- Add links to examples of your work if you have them.
- Check it carefully and get feedback from a friend or colleague.
I have no online profile. Currently I'm a student and yet not working. Many people make their profile exaggerate things and many non true have experience writing.
Everyone should write their own ability, experience and qualifications. Not tell exaggerate about things.
Honestly, I have an online profile but I think it needs to be supported more! I don't have plenty time to work on it, because I'm a CS Student, and I'm always busy, studying, working on assignments/projects, coding and again and again. Hopefully, I can find time to have some extra courses related to my major. Since these courses are so important nowadays. After the pandemic, so many roles and jobs were changed, and the way of employing changed too, so when you have these certificates from these courses this will give you a strong online profile. It can be equal to other's experience. It show the employer that you're also working on yourself, and developing more and more.
I still don't have one, but these days while looking for a new job, I realized it's crucial and that many companies an recruiters ask for one.
I think one of the best tips is to be creative, make your profile engaging and attractive, but not to scandalous.
Describe yourself, your job experiences and your abilities.
Make it short and concise, show that you're competent but do not add unnecessary information.
Also, speaking a second language must be a plus.
