Hi, guys! Let me give you the most delicious recipe for fluffy thick pancakes which is so, so simple.

First of all, put a pan onto a medium heat.

Into a bowl put one mug of milk, one mug of self-raising flour (white or wholemeal) and one lovely free-range egg.

One pinch of sea salt and give a good whisk. And it will be a fairly thick, light batter.

Lightly rub a pan with just a little butter and then pour in enough batter to the size of the pancake that you want.

When the batter is cooked around the edge and little holes have come to the surface of the pancake, have a little look under the pancake. On the count of three a nice confident flip.

As soon as it's turned, it's nice to give another little rub with butter and after one minute you will have a beautiful, fluffy, gorgeous pancake ready to be taken sweet or savoury.

So there you go, guys. That is a foolproof pancake recipe.

I have never tried a pancake before, but would like to try it in the future. I'll add a little honey.

I'm wondring if pancakes and crapes are similar but different...?? a pancake ⁽˙³˙⁾◟(๑•́ ₃ •̀๑)◞⁽˙³˙⁾ a crape...

Hi Rafaela1

There are different varieties of pancakes and yes, some are quite similar to crepes. The ones that are common in the US, which are more or less like the ones in this video, are fluffier than others that many British people make. Did you know that there is a Pancake Day in the UK? If you follow the link, you can read about the pancakes people make on that day -- these ones are very similar to crepes.

Hi admins, will you tell me what "Hit the eyes!" means?? (ↂↄ̫ↂ)

Hello Rafaela1

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that phrase. You can 'hit someone in the eyes', or perhaps 'between the eyes', but 'hit the eyes' is not something I've read or heard in common usage. I suppose it could mean the same thing -- or, more likely, something metaphorical, but I'm not sure what.

Making pancakes is a big headache for me because every single time something goes wrong. I eather put too much butter, or pour too much of a mixture in a pan, so the pancake turns out too thick. I don't really put anything in pancakes because I don't make them.
Hi! Your comment made me a bit giggle... but is bringing up a good point. Although Jamie shows us making a pancake seems to be a piece of cake, he doesn't tell us the quantity of the food in a recipe, which is the threshold of a success. If we follow a recipe, making a pancake will be as easy as pie! Fingers crossed for your next challenge! (o’v`b)bGOOD☆

I mostly make potato pancake. It was wired because it was the first time I make pancake. First , I boiled the potatoes and mash them. Then , I mixed those mashed potatoes with a glass of milk two table spoon of sugar and a bowl of flour. My big mistake is that I poured three table spoon oil into the pan. My pancake was so oily. Since that day, I don't make any pancake at all.
