Thank you!!
Hi Carolina,
I just wanted to write and say thank you for everything.
You and your family were amazing hosts. I had a great time at your house. Thank you for making me feel at home. I'm sure my English improved a lot because of all your help too! Also, thank you for all the wonderful cooking you did. Now I can tell everyone English food is not as bad as they say .
If you ever come to Sri Lanka, I hope you will stay with me and I can show you my city too.
Keep in touch!.
Pradeep
Tips
- Start with Hi if it is an informal email to someone you know.
- The email can have three main paragraphs:
- the reason for writing (= to say thank you)
- the main point (= more details or examples)
- a wish or offer for the future.
- Use emojis (e.g. ) or emoticons (e.g. :) ) to show you're joking.
- You can say See you soon / See you next year if you hope to meet again.
- Use a closing phrase like Keep in touch, Write soon, Speak soon or Take care.

Hello Sova,
Just want to say thank you for having me at your lovely house last weekend.
It really was a very enjoyable time visiting London with you. Thank you for the wonderful arrangement. I also enjoyed so much talking with overnight and I love the dishes you had made. It was the best English dishes I had ever tied.
Thanks again. Tell you if you want to make a visit to Paris. Keep in touch!
Cheers,
Helena

Definitely yes, I'd like to stay in a host family if I study abroad. Though I have never been staying in a host family, I am sure it would be a great help on all sides if I start a new journey in a new country. It would be a wonderful time to experience the culture and custom. And it would be easier for me to study the local language and learn how to get along with local people.

To me, there are many advantages that you live with a host family in other countries. First of all, it is helpful to learn the languages and the idioms, which can make you adapted to their life. secondly, it's a good chance to keep a closer touch with their lifestyle, which may be much different from ours. The third, realizing others' cultures and traditions can broaden our horizons. Lastly, the most interesting thing is that we can make friends from all over the world and share our own life stories with others.

The host family will help you improve your local language a lot, show you some wonderful things and beautiful place in their country. They can help you choose a few presents with reasonable price and cooking traditional dishes for you.

It depends on which country we travel to. Are people hospitable and reliable?

I refer choosing a homestay during a trip to a new country. We will be staying with the host family, so we have the opportunity to explore the wonderful things of local culture, natural life and experience in their activities. I always rent a homestay's room during a business trip or traveling to other countries.
