In my country, Myanmar, the people have not a surname. Instead of surname, we put "Maung" and "Ma" before our name. If you are a guy and your name is Jame, we will call "Mg(Maung) Jame". And if you are a girl and your name is Amelia, we will call you "Ma Amelia". If you are a man we will put "U(Oo)" and if you are a woman we will put "Daw" before your name.
There are many differences in writing name-surname, depending on countries. I did not know this information about your country.
