Hi. I was asked, do I like bread? And unfortunately for me the answer to that is, yes, I do, and quite a lot. Perhaps a bit too much, because all those carbohydrates, uh, yeah, you could put on quite a bit of weight if you're not careful. Anyway, my normal kind of bread would be white bread. There's a typical white cut slice loaf that I would get from the supermarket. I also have something which is … tempts me to have more bread, and that's a bread machine. I've got it, got it here. So I'm just going to load it up. I've just loaded up all the flour and the yeast, a bit of butter, a bit of milk, salt, sugar. So I'm going to stick that in the machine … and I'll come back in a, yeah, a few hours and I'll show you the result of my bread machine.
Well, three hours have gone, and my machine has just been bleeping at me. Let's see what we've got. Looks nice. Just get the oven gloves. There. There we go, a nice fresh loaf.
I've just taken it out and we have a nice golden-brown loaf of bread. And I wish they'd invented smellivision, because it smells lovely. There's a nice warm smell of freshly baked bread. OK, let me just cut it open so you can see.
This is a white loaf. And I do actually like white bread better, as I said at the beginning, even though – see all the steam coming out of that? Oh, lovely – I know that white bread isn't as good for you as brown bread, but personally, I prefer the taste. Not to say that brown bread is not available, and we do have it in our house sometimes. Now, that's lovely. You can see it's just steaming away. Still a bit too hot to eat really. But I'll put that with some garlic butter, maybe, and I'll get through that loaf pretty quickly. That's the danger of freshly baked bread.
Do you ever make your own bread? Watch British Council teacher, David, making bread with his bread machine!
The ingredients David uses are flour, yeast, a bit of milk and butter, salt and sugar. He bakes the bread for three hours in his bread machine. The thing he likes most about making his own bread is the delicious smell of a freshly baked loaf!

My hobby is making breads, i loveeee it. My family is very happy when i do this, everyone enjoys it. I make different recipes, sweets and savory breads dough, and i like to make breads from different countries. My time is very short, but whenever i have some spare time i take the opportunity to make a delicious bread, after all, nowadays everything is industrialized and it is difficult to find truly homemade bread in bakeries.

Thank You very much. It was very interesting lesson. I'm happy because I learned new vocabulary and I heard my speech.

Hi ,
I have a real passion for bread. it's one of my kitchen hobbies to bake bread. I love to pair the right bread with the dish I 'm cooking for example naan with a butter chicken . and when I travel abroad it's important for me to test the bread of the country.
I have never make bread for my life. But when I watched the video, I was a bit suprised that it was not that hard to make one. Bread machine also sounds unfamiliar in my country. But maybe I will learn to make bread oneday!
Yes, I make bread almost daily. As, in our country, bread is part of our daily diet. So, I have to cook it daily for me and my family. These bread are made by dough which is prepared from wheat flour, water and a pinch of salt. I used to make little balls from this dough and give them a round flat thin circular shape. Then I cook these on a frying pan. These breads are served with cooked vegetables or meat.
This topic is nice. Food is an interesting topic to discuss.
