Tina: Yes, I love bread. I probably have it, maybe, maybe once a day or every other day. And I'm videoing this in my local supermarket, and as you can see, lots and lots of types of bread. But very famous for the UK – oh, that's going to be really wobbly – is that one. White bread. White sliced toast bread.
Joanna: OK … I like bread and I like eating lots of different types of bread. This is a coca, which is a typical bread from Catalunya. And here I've cut it open and I've made pa tomaquet, which is a typical Catalan bread. And you slice your bread, you rub the tomato that you cut this way, cut it like that, rub, rub, rub, rub, rub. Then you take the olive oil, and this has got a drizzle of olive oil, salt and there we are, pa tomaquet. And one piece is missing because the person filming this is already eating it!
Jo: I don't eat bread every day, but I probably eat it about four or five times a week. One of my favourite types of bread is a bagel. I've got one here. And depending on what meal I'm eating, I also like things like pita bread or naan bread. And I live in France, so of course the baguette is … I eat that quite often. So yeah, in France the baguette is really popular. People eat it probably with most meals. And in every neighbourhood, every village, you can find a bakery to buy your baguette.
Jonathan: Yes, I eat bread quite a lot, probably four or five times a week, maybe more, but I try to have a range of carbs. So I have some bread, some rice, some pasta. I normally have brown bread, as I heard that's the healthiest type. I like, er, wholemeal, wheat bread. I live in Hong Kong. It's quite a big city and a very international city, with shops selling all different kinds of things, including bread. There are so many different kinds. Some are sweet, some are salted. You can buy whole loaves of bread. You can buy single buns. Yeah, you can really buy all different kinds of bread here.
There are so many different types of bread in the world, and for many people it's a really important part of their daily diet. In this video some people from different countries tell us whether they often eat bread, what type they eat and what types of bread are popular in their country.
We want to hear from you!
- Do you often eat bread?

sure I love bread I eat it 4 times a week, and sometimes I eat a special kind of Sudanese bread called kesra which is made from sorghum. I don't like bread that consists of sugar because it changes the taste of the sandwich.
Hello There
I am Joy from Bangladesh. Our staple food is rice. Though I eat bread at my breakfast and dinner for my obesity and physical condition. In Bengali language we called the bread 'Ruti'. We mix the flour with the boiled water and gradually we make dough from the mixture. Afterwards we make small round shaped pieces from the dough and then roll it and make a thin round shape, Which is around 6 inches diameter. Latterly we bake the round shapes on flat pan. what we call 'Ruti'. we use to eat vegetables, kebabs, egg omelets, sweets, meat curry and many delicious items along with the bread. We Bangladeshis use to think that breads are much more healthy than rice.
Hi everyone :D

I eat bread maybe 2-3 time per week. In Georgia it can be difficult to miss a beautiful aroma which comes from different small bakeries where make "shoti", when you walk on streets. Shoti is Georgian bread and it looks like a flat baguette that is formed as a sword. I really love this moment when you bite a first part of a warm crips shoti on the street before you come home.
Hi Worm,
Thank you for sharing your photo. I was really interested to find out a bit about shoti. I live in France, so the baguette is my usual bread. I also can never resist eating the end of a freshly-baked baguette on my way home from the bakery :-)
Best wishes,

Hello, I'm Beatrice,
I'm French, I spent my childhood in Germany and I have now lived in Morocco for almost 40 years. So I'm an Moroccan at heart. I love eating bread, all kinds of bread : fresh french baguette for breakfast with fresh butter and Jam; thinly sliced German grain bread, "Vollkornbrot" with cheese and sweet pickles and salmon; and finally Moroccan bread. It's au round bread. You can buy it in a backrey or better still, make it at home. Bread in arabic language ist "khobz" = "الخبز". There are all kinds of traditionnal bread in Morocco but it always has the same shape, a round shape more or less large (see photos below). We can use all kinds of flour. Personally at home, we do it with wholemeal flour or with a mix between white flour and semolina. We eat bread in all circumstances : for breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner. Bread really has a very special place in Moroccan traditions. It's so good ! :)

It is thin about 1 milimeter and thought it hs bèen produced by ancient war fascilities, for spereding of the chin of bread something is used which is very similar to spear and there is a soldjer's sheld narmed taveh to vasking on fire.

I usually eat mostly homemade bread, which is quite common in Brazil, but I also enjoy French bread and "pão de água," which are soft and good for making grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Sometimes, I opt for bread with seeds like flaxseed. As for sandwiches, my favorite is the one with mortadella and cheese, especially when the bread is crispy. To add more flavor, I like to include lettuce, tomato, and plenty of mayonnaise, especially green mayonnaise or barbecue cream.
Hello, my name is Isabelly and I'm from Brazil.
Have you ever thought about the irony of such a Brazilian bread being called 'French bread'? 🥖😄 It may have been named after France, but the truth is that our bread is 100% adapted to the local taste, with that crunchy crust and soft crumb that we love! In Brazilian homes, it's a guaranteed presence at breakfast and in the afternoon snack. Who else thinks that this bread is as much ours as anything else in our daily lives? 💛 #PãoFrancês #TradiçãoBrasileira #IroniaDeliciosa”
Hi Isabelly,
It definitely sounds as if it should be renamed 'Brazilian bread'!!!
Best wishes,

There's another carbohydrate staple that appears in every meal in my country is rice. But I don't really like it.
